the most tears

today ziggy had to get his penile adhesion fixed. it was the worst day for him. what an awful feeling to watch your 3 year old cry in pain. all i could do was comfort him with hugs since the tylenol and ice packs weren't enough. luckily, the doctor was able to fix it today, no surgery and no re-circumcision. just an awful day!

1st trimester

i had my 1st trimester screening today. markie and ziggy came with me and we saw the baby do flips and twirls in my belly. it is healthy and weighing in 1 week bigger than the size it's supposed to be. 7 more weeks and i can find out the gender :)

6 years ago today

everything happened too fast! we found out we were moving to san francisco and planned a wedding in 2 weeks. our wedding was at my parent's bay house. it was really small and silly but i have so many good memories from it. mark proposed to me at a korean restaurant with my dad in his ear going "do it now, do it now!" it was hard to leave all our family and move to a new city across the country but i think it helped mark and I grow closer. happy anniversary to us :)

ex restoration hardware employee hangout

when in marin, i met up with my old co workers from restoration hardware. we had a fun group of ladies on our side of the office and since life 4 years ago, we all popped out babies, some (michele) have even already popped out 2! everyone aside from katie has since left the company. it was really fun to catch up and see each other's kids. playdates are kind of hard though because you have to make sure your child isn't eating mud. also, i forgot my real camera this day (major fail).

summer's farm

we went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend. ziggy's favorite part was the corn pool. we tried to make our way through the corm maze but the ground was so muddy that we ended up cutting through the corn to avoid the mud. i wanted to jump with the guys on the pillow bounce but ziggy said "no, you can't, you're pregnant!" they had white pumpkins and ziggy chose a mini one to bring home. we also picked up a medium sized white pumpkin to carve for halloween. i became so exhausted and almost went gremlin on mark, he had to rush me to red lobster and feed me cheddar bay biscuits. it helped!

beanjo-deanjo

today i'm 10 weeks pregnant and i couldn't be happier about it. i found out at michele's house on my last day of vacation in the bay area. it was kind of a surprise since i wasn't planning on kid #2 until later but i couldn't be more thrilled. ziggy is already excited to become an older bro. he said that he would hide all his skeletons since they are too scary for babies and that he would just give the baby a butterfly chew toy and pekkle. he is hoping for a little boy but me, i'm desperately hoping for a baby girl.

bike

i ordered a freaking awesome bike for mark's birthday. john works at spokes, a bike shop and so we were able to get the phatty hook up. mark's parents and john pitched in for the helmets for mark and ziggy and the kid seat. i think they look pretty cool.

party!

we had a party to celebrate mark's 34th birthday. it was dark and loud. everyone ate burritos that we ordered from a taco truck, que bueno cheese dip in a jar and spiked punch which i renamed mark's man juice. it was a hit, here's the recipe if you ever want to recreate the man juice:

1 pineapple
4 gala apples
4 limes
1 orange
1 bottle everclear
1 bottle sour apple vodka
2 liter sprite
2 frozen lemonade can
1 bag of ice

1. chop the fruit into tiny bitesize pieces, soak in vodka and everclear for a few hours in the fridge.
2. when the party is about the start, put everything in a giant container or trash can (adds curb appeal).
