we miss you guys so much! there are thrift stores to discover and parks to explore, i wish you guys were near so we could do it together.

we met pops for lunch today and ate in his underground cafeteria. today was "cookie wednesday". we also met up last week for "donut friday".

so i'm starting to wean him and he's not too happy, especially at night. i figured a gradual weaning would be easier than a cold turkey one. we'll find out. here's the method i'm approaching, it's for co-sleepers. last night was the second night and i've skipped straight to stage 2. i'm using the crib even though it says not to. this method seems a little nicer on the baby than the pu/pd from the baby whisperer. i'll give you an update in the future.

i worked on these boards last december and gave most of them away as gifts since i was broke. they are painted and collaged on plywood then varnished with a stuff called super glaze. super glaze makes everything look fancy.

this truck was a gift from grandma teare. ziggy adores it and it makes him wiggle in delight. the only problem is it makes me want to eat ice cream 24 hours a day.

mom used to walk us around this duck pond when we were little. i can't believe i have a kid that i can walk around this pond now. time flies.

we had lunch with shana today and ate malaysian food in DC. it was good! ziggy even ate the spicy curry with us. he's so awesome.

look at this kid trying to climb out of his high chair. the other day he climbed up onto a coffee table and fell onto his head in the 2 minutes i wasn't staring at him. he has a giant bump with a gash in the middle of it. :(

we went to the store today. here he is with halmonie. he ate chicken wings in the 'hood. the picture below is of a house that i love in anacostia. i would love to live there but i would be scared.

this kid loves his noodles. he eats all kinds of them and prefers to slurp one long string at a time.

settling in

so we have settled into our home for now. here we are sleeping in our new nest.

insanely busy

we got our stuff today. it took the movers 7 days to get us all of our stuff, amazing! i'm going to miss mi pueblo, pioneer park, the de young, jook time, denny's place, kirin, jeremy's, el farolitos, koko lounge, buffalo exchange, michele, jon, garrick, amelia, amy, rachel, shannon, the greens, the sunset, musee mecanique, margaret keane, potrero hill, saigon, the gg bridge, mt. tamalpais, the awesome weather, my house in center place, swimming at channing way, fish tacos and so so so much more!
