the bay area discovery mueum is free every first wednesday of the month and they even had fun stuff for babies as young as ziggy. i like the picture of him trying to balance on the waterbed like pond.

observation tower

the building in the background is of the fairly new science museum which has free admission every third wednesday of the month. i want to go check out the biodome. ziggy's top teeth broke through today. i am so happy obama is president! i guess california still has along way to go though, i'm so bummed about the prop 8 outcome.

i am hoping that all of california is progressive enough to see that prop 8 is wrong, prejudice and evil. i hope you all voted no on prop 8. equal rights for humans please.

kitty update

kitty is gaining weight and keeping her food down but i took her to the vet again because she had a funky toe. it turns out she has two infected toes from crotchety old claws that won't retract, holes in her remaining teeth, and the hair on her ears are falling out. all that on top of having an over active thyroid. geeeesh! luckily it's all fixable, except for the hairless ear problem. my poor cat. if you're in north bay, i recommend kitty's vet at the san rafael animal hospital. he is great!

día de los muertos

we stumbled across a día de los muertos or day of the dead fair today and got to decorate our own skull. it was really beautiful and fun too! it would have been nice to place a photo of my dad on the alter, especially since his 61st birthday would have been yesterday but i didn't have one on hand. love and miss you dad!

weird sculptures

santa rosa has some weird sculptures. we walked by mr. pickles, a deli that my mom and sister went to 2 years ago. there is also a really cute vintage shop on the main strip but it was kind of expensive. it reminded me of the store 'mustard seed' back on the east coast.

beautiful day

today was beautiful! we went up to santa rosa to hang out. also ziggy can feed himself a bottle now.

halloween

on halloween, we carved pumpkins and went trick or treating with our friends. having a baby is a good excuse to get loads of free candy. unfortunately for ziggy, he can't eat any yet...oh well, maybe next year if he's lucky.

tall teeth

here's a good picture of his two bottom teeth, they are big now and he uses them to bite the crap out of mark's finger. he likes to get his teeth brushed every night.

foodie

i haven't updated anyone much on ziggy's solids. he bypassed stage 1 foods (he wasn't ever a fan) and he's eating stage 2 foods like turkey dinner, chicken soup, stuff like that. overall i don't think he likes baby food and prefers adult foods like refried beans, pho and pickles. maybe he just doesn't like all his flavors mixed into one jar like apples and chicken, doesn't that sound weird?

toofless sam

here's a face i call toofless sam. he's been doing this a lot the past week or so. maybe his top two teeth are coming in?

in da crib again

i got some good advice from grandma and niya. clip shmeegie's nails or buy the rubber covers that slide over the claws. but i'm too lazy to do either so instead i've just been closing the door to the bedroom so she can't sneak in the crib but i forgot to today so here's another shot of my love hate relationship with the cat in the crib.
