bread and a party outfit

mark and ziggy made some bread yesterday. he really enjoyed his roll that he made. he wore this ethnic garb outfit for our friend pia's party yesterday. we had so much fun, the older kids, pia's nephew and niece, dito (7) and maria (3) held his hand and whisked him off to see their train set. pia's dad danced the limbo and her mom cooked a wonderful homemade soul food meal. on their mantel i saw a picture of her mother hanging out with martin luther king jr. AMAZING!

fitness first

guess what? i joined a gym. i don't like working out but maybe now that i'm older i'll start enjoying it? i also want ziggy to have some time away from me before he's enrolled in preschool next year. he did pretty well yesterday, he lasted 30 minutes before crying. i had just enough time to sign up and hit the step machine for 3 minutes before they came and got me.

jeh-sa

it was that time of year again. we remembered all the funny things my dad did, the food he cooked, all the times he fed my sisters and i too much food in a spoonful. ziggy got so hungry he started picking up all the food from the table and sneaking bites.

4 years

it's been 4 years. wonder what you're up to these days. we all miss you, wish you could come pay a visit sometime. i would love to hear your voice, see your smile, even smell your cigarettes and it would be lovely if you could meet ziggy.

happy birthday mark senior

zoo and toodling

yesterday we took the metro to dc and hung out at the zoo. then we went to bethesda for lunch. ziggy likes throwing pennies in water fountains but after running out of coins, i stuck my arm in the fountain and picked up some more. i have no shame.

awesome face of the month

here it is.

park picnic

while the guys were showering with clothes on, i was packing a picnic. we walked to the park which is only 3 blocks away from our house and ate pizza rolls and broccoli. i am so amazed at how much more ziggy can do at the playground. he loves slides, ladders and see-saws when a few months ago all he enjoyed was climbing up the stairs.

shower with your clothes on

saturday was such a beautiful day, mark had the itch to hang outside. he wanted to have a water fight but since it was so cool, ziggy started shivering. the end result was mark and ziggy in the shower fully clothed.

boy video game night

friday was boy video game night. wyatt and john slept over and ziggy was in heaven. they guys played scott pilgrim vs. the world, it reminded me of the old super mario games on nintendo.
