on saturday we went to a funeral then a birthday party.

we went into maryland today and spent the morning with natasha. she took us to a fabulous ethiopian restaurant then a horse stable near her house. it was a fun day, sunny and warmish until the clouds came in.

shana's friend picked up this little guy for ziggy all the way from sweden. you can also see how determined ziggy is to get this perfume sample back in the paper. he flips out when he can't.

first art class

ziggy had a good time at class today. the teacher is pretty lame, she showed up 20 minutes late then asked us if we wanted to cancel the class so she wouldn't have to sit in traffic. but it doesn't really matter, it's a place where he can get messy and i don't have to clean it up.

here's grandma driving ziggy in a box. then two boxes. ziggy is now saying halmonie which means grandma in korean. it's so cute when he says it in his voice.

my laundry basket was oddly heavy today.

grandma put my vest on ziggy. he looks like a little beetle in it.

the journey

has begun for hana and james. they left this morning to kick start their 4 month trip around the world (via sea). i'm going to miss them! read about their adventures here.

this is a photo of ziggy's first ever 4 hour nap. it was amazing. i spent it by catching up on watching trash tv...the real housewives of orange county.

farewell

mrs. neidlinger introduced my mom and dad way back in the 70s. she was such an active, caring and loving woman. today her battle with glioblastoma (GBM) ended after 9 hard months. you can read the struggle her family endured on her son's blog. condolences to her husband and three sons who stood by her side the entire time. we will all miss you.

celebrated last night at the movies with raisenettes, a wild cherry icey and my two guys. we watched the princess and the frog and ziggy made it through the entire movie. he stayed up 'til 11:30. maybe next year he'll stay up through midnight with us. happy 2010!
