halloween

crying bear went trick or treating and scored on a fat bag of candy. even though he despises his wig, he kept it on once he saw the candy rolling into his bag. sarah was a german maiden lady, hannah a pirate, ammon a grey ninja and john...well i don't know.

exploring

and of course we went around the town to explore. we went to a flea market where i tried navajo food (mutton on fry bread, and posole) in a make shift tent. to shiprock, the nuclear power plant and the aztec ruins.

great grandma

the highlight of the trip was seeing great grandma. she's a gem and everything you'd imagine a grandma to be, loving, kind, warm, cute and sweet as pie.

farmington

we ended up in farmington to stay with mark's uncle gary and aunt annie. gary & annie have 7 kids...7! we only got to hang out with 4 of them though, sam, hannah, ammon and sarah. they were a barrel of fun and ziggy's best friend for the past week was ammon who is in seventh grade. his favorite word right now is ammon, he can't stop saying it.

cuba

heading north we saw a lot of this. we stopped in a tiny town called cuba where mark's grandma grew up and ate at bruno's a new mexican restaurant. the food was the new mexican version of mexican food, kinda like how texans have tex-mex and california has mexi-cali. here's a picture of ziggyman dusting the snow off a patio chair.

albuquerque

we arrived in albuquerque. there was snow on sandia mountain and it was hella cold. we spent the morning exploring downtown where native americans were selling silver/turquoise jewelry for lots of money. don't i look cold?

we're back

safe and sound from new mexico! we had so much fun hanging out with family, sightseeing, halloweening and eating new mexican food. lots of updates coming soon but for now i'm going to bed.

niya

nomi is an older sister now. her name is niya (rhymes with mia). she's so little and weighs about 5 lbs, what a little lump of joy! while i was oogling at the baby, the monkeys were jumping on the bed.

fall hibernation

i have been so sleepy lately and on top of that i've been eating 9 meals a day! mark mentioned that all he wants to do is eat sweets. i think we're going to hibernate.

crush

ziggy has a major crush on karen. it's cute.

my perm

it is the strangest feeling trying to take photos of yourself! ugh gumbi lips! anyway, this is what my perm looks like. yoko ono-ish. i think it'll look the best in a couple months when my hair is a little longer and the perm fades a little.

crying bear

i finished making ziggy's halloween costume yesterday. since we're going to be in new mexico, i decided to make him a warrior chief costume. he goes by the name crying bear. not too sure if he likes it though.

more granny time

grandma's been taking more time off of work lately and it's been so awesome! ziggy loves spending time with granny and so do i! sometimes, she torments him like the time when she kept trying to stick clay on his face. he didn't really like that very much. yesterday we went to the florida market, a wholesale shopping haven. this is where i found my favorite black mickey shirt ten years ago. i tried to look for more 80's treasures but all i saw was a black popeye shirt that said "i'm a hustler" it was too ugly to buy. i did get tie dyed black legging tights, can't wait to wear them!

ebay

i'm selling my yellow coat on ebay. shana gave ziggy those goggles and he enjoys them. he also enjoys his wooden sword, a hippie lady commented on his weapon today.
