Last day of summer

We went into dc w shana, andrew and Christina. We saw the mars up close exhibit, went to the farmers market then ate donuts in the nat geo conference room.

Little gamer

Ziggy is quite the little gamer. We've really enjoyed playing iOS games together. Here are some that we've played and really loved:

Silent age:

This game pretty much opened the flood gates for zigs and I. It has such a great style and storyline. We're waiting for the 2nd episode to come out which I'm not sure will ever happen. The story is a little dark and I needed to cover his eyes for parts of it, but it was still really enjoyable to play w a 5 yr old.

Journey down:

Awesome Caribbean adventure game. Ziggy really liked the island music and the masks the characters wore. He really loved the accents and storyline. We beat this game and craved more! He still talks about Kaonondodo and Bwana like they are family.

Monkey Island 1 & 2:

Totally amazing and funny. Guybrush threepwood is so silly and the storyline is gold! We are in total withdrawal and looking for a new adventure game to play.

Year walk:

Definitely not for kids, I played this at night after the kids were asleep. Dark and haunting and beautiful. Definitely worth buying and trying out.

Simon update

Simon is growing up too fast! He is so brilliant and sparkly. He has really picked up talking and his little voice melts our faces off. One of his favorite phrases is "spongebob peed a bubble" ( I blame ziggy for that). He's currently potty training and is doing pretty well so far, I'm hoping by the end of next week he'll be all finished. He still loves basketball and jack o lanterns and draws them everyday!

I just love him!!

End of summer

It's hard to believe summer is over (and I haven't even posted once). We had such a great lazy one, zigs was really insistent on not going to any camps so the three of us spent every waking moment together.

Now it's time for ziggy to enter 1st grade and simon to begin preschool. And for me to begin some artwork to sell at Artscape next year. Wish me luck and motivation since seriously on down time, all I want to do is watch terrible reality tv.
