thankgiving dinner

turkey day

i can't wait to share this turkey with my loved ones. it's freaking nasty to prep but well worth it. we spent the morning watching toy story and snuggling. mark drank egg nog in his coffee and i'm about to make mulled cider. thanksgiving is so cozy.

blue moon

i always feel a little psycho when there's a full moon out. tonight's moon is a blue one. thank god it's not that time of month, otherwise i would be psycho killer.

munch

went to the east wing at the national gallery today. thought i'd catch the allen ginsberg exhibit only to find that it had long passed. but luckily they were showing edvard munch prints (most famous for 'the scream' which were amazing! his work inspires me to continue printmaking, even if i can't get my hand on a press. potato prints, here i come. they also had a funny exhibit by archimboldo who did these goofy paintings back in the 15th century. i wonder what people thought of them back in the day.

got a little haircut

i always thought i would want ziggy to have long hippie hair but i changed my mind, partially because his hair won't grow very long and also because he looks so cute with short hair.

i spent a good portion of my evening looking at videos of how fat and cute ziggy used to be.

the lover

i read this book, then watched the movie 'an education' just because my sister happened to have it from netflix. synchronicity about the fragility of adolescent girls. here are some pictures of marguerite duras during her illicit affair as a teenager with a much older man wearing her infamous hat, and a picture of her later in life. and of lynn barber, the story of the lady who 'an education' was based on.

we've pulled out the winter coats. it's a fun feeling.

water fun

ziggy loves to play with water in the bathroom sink. i put food coloring in and sometimes bubbles.

ziggy randomly asks me to take his picture with skeleton mickey. these are poses he came up with on his own.

kite flying adventures

we went kite flying a while back. it was really fun and our kite was super easy to maneuver. it was on sale at the air & space museum.
