cutest person handing out candy, a baby! mark tallied up all the treats. ziggy's favorite, a skeleton lollipop and a gummi cheesburger. hana, shana and james came out to watch ziggy hustle the streets.

mark carved the pumpkin while ziggy surfed the web. we went to the mall this morning and discovered that ziggy turns into a little mean boy on candy. he's napping right now and we're going out for trick or treating part II around our neighborhood.

conversation with ziggy

we were in the car tonight and listening to a report on the radio about homeless people in the suburbs.

ziggy: mommy, what are they talking about?
me: they're talking about how some people don't have a home to go to, it's very sad.
ziggy: oh, i'm going to kiss them. will they feel better?

he repeated the last phrase a few times and i couldn't believe how sad and concerned ziggy was after i told him that. or that at age 2 kids could even understand what it means to be homeless. :(

fall

it's not chilly yet but the leaves have changed. i love crunching leaves on the sidewalk. ziggy and i enjoyed the perfect weather while stomping on some leaves this afternoon.

teagan time

we had teagan this weekend all to ourselves. he's such a sweet and loving kid. ziggy and teagan kept themselves busy and they genuinely enjoy each other's company. here's a conversation they had in the back seat:
