hana gave z a haircut yesterday. it looks so adorable and it's perfect for today since it's going to be 97 out and we're going to mark's company picnic.

summer solstice

monday was summer solstice, my favorite day of the year. i always get a little bummed when that day is over.

week 2 renovation pics

ziggy's room color is called fountain spout, we love it. everyone says our house is too ultra bright white but that's how i like it. our countertops are a metallic grey granite. 2nd round of exterminations are complete. the scab bathroom has been gutted and prepped for new finishes. i am now a ikea cabinet building expert. mark and i worked last night until 2am.

happy father's day

i've been slackin' on my posts mostly because i'm dog tired from renovating the house but happy father's day a few days late! we spent most of sunday shopping for house stuff, we nailed down our countertop, chose our bathroom finishes and went to ikea to pick up a few things for most of the day. then we spent the evening with mark's dad who was tired from helping us renovate the day before. ziggy learned how to shoot a plastic rifle. i treated mark to a massage at 'massage envy' he said the lady had the strongest hands and wondered if at one point during the massage if she was actually standing on him.

world cup

what were you doing saturday at 6am? we were driving to a community college to try and watch korea vs greece. they ran out of seats so we ended up going to a korean restaurant to catch the game. ziggy was so startled when the fans cheered for the first goal. he cried a little but i don't blame him it was 7am on a saturday!

week1 renovation pics

we've done a lot in the past week. stripped the crazy pheasant wall panel, gutted the bathrooms and kitchen, knocked down a wall, repainted the chipping lead paint window sills, exterminated and scrubbed roach poop off the walls and painted 3 bedrooms. phew! we also picked up our kitchen and need to begin assembling it. thanks to our families for watching ziggy and helping us clean and paint.

yes ziggy really does use a fork and knife. it's cute because he's 2 and it makes him look proper.

chuck-e-cheesey

$15 for 100 tokens (with coupon). it was a blast. i got carried away with winning bonuses. i hit the jackpot twice, it was so awesome. mark was digging the token dropping machine. oh yeah and i guess ziggy had a good time too.

tea pah-ty

did i tell you? ziggy's obsessed with tea parties? he says "more tea please" and "delicious". he drinks republic of tea's caramel apple red rooibos. now that's some good shiz.

little boy

ziggy is transforming so much everyday. he's speaking in sentences, the other day he said "uh-oh i peed in the other room." and sure enough he had peed in shana's room. he's been singing along to songs, some of his favorite jams are 'i love eggs song', 'hot dog', and 'itsy bitsy spider'.

we got to share a cake with jon on his birthday as they were passing through town before heading back to california. happy birthday!!
