year in a recap

what a great year, we bought and rebuilt our house, went to san francisco and miami and ziggy potty trained! next year my goals are to not eat out so much, travel to new zealand, and to transition back to work. so scary!!

i thought national bohemian was a beer brewed in baltimore i guess from hearing it was represented in 'the wire' but it's actually brewed in milwaukee. anyway, i took shana to tune inn, a dive restaurant in dc for her birthday and she cracked one of these open and is now a fan!

jane (mark's aunt from his father's side) is visiting DC with her family for the holidays. we all met up at the zoo today and hung out. i have never seen so many animals out from hiding, who knew the winter was a good time to see some animals at the zoo?
